Richard Dormer Driving Instructor Explains Why Denovo Driving Tuition Peterborough Is Different

Hi, my name is Richard, reflecting on the last two years with Denovo I would say when I qualified, I got in the car and it is a scary new industry to jump into. I feel in the last two years I developed quite well, I like to think I am a very good instructor, not the best yet, give it another year or two maybe. Yeah, I think it’s one of those things at the end of the day it’s a new skill every single day I’m still developing and, like we always say to our pupils, nobody’s perfect, you’re never going to reach perfection. So, as long as I keep progressing I am happy. The reason I decided not to take a franchise with a large nation driving school, the main reason was finances. It can be quite costly to take out a franchise with some of the bigger companies, another reason is the sentimental side to it as well, you know these big companies, you are a digit to them, you are a statistic. With Denovo Driving Tuition, you are a person. So, it was nice to feel like part of a team and not just, you know, part of an army.

The advantages of driving with Denovo and teaching with Denovo is the support you get, not just from John but from the rest of the team. We can all pool our experiences in. We help each other as much as possible and, again, it’s just nice to have that close-knit team. I think an instructor considering different franchises should definitely consider Denovo, because we offer the support that you would need as a new qualified ADI. A lot of the big national franchise companies, they will teach you how to teach pupils and then they would throw you out into the open world and leave you to it. Whereas we will guide you step by step, almost like learning to ride a bike, before you know it we’re not holding you anymore, there’s no stabilisers and you’re out being a professional instructor.
